Tagore School of Arts
Back in 1882 when great poet Rabindranath Tagore visited Karwar, he described beauty of Karwar as the behest of nature and dedicated a chapter in his works to the beauty of this town.
It was dream of Sri Gajanan. K. Mahale to establish an academic institution focusing on performing Fine arts, He made his dream into reality by establishing this prestigious school of arts in 1986 and named the school after the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore who praised the beauty of this scenic town Karwar.
